Michael has been in the public/investor relations industry for more than 40 years and co-founded PLR in 1970. In addition, he has served on the board of several publicly held companies. In his earlier career, Michael was an analyst and portfolio manager for a NYSE member firm and major institution. Michael has a BS in Finance from Rider College and has completed The Owners, President and Management course at Harvard University School of Business in May 2004.
Chief Operating Officer
Lucille has been with PLR since the agency was founded in 1970. She is an integral ingredient in account programming and execution and oversees company-wide operations, including the media, investor relations, editorial, and human relations departments. Her 30 years experience working with management of small and mid-cap companies gives Lucille extensive knowledge that she uses to ensure quality output and to maximize client exposure, as well as to provide PLR and its clients with insight and knowledge of almost every facet of investor and public relations.
Marlon Nurse, D.M.
Senior Vice President - Investor Relations
Dr. Marlon Nurse is a Senior Vice President and works with the firm’s diverse industry of clients, including Biotechnology, Energy, Oil & Gas Exploration, and Financials. Marlon has 20 years of experience working with large-, medium-, and small-capitalizations companies. His responsibilities included to strategically positioning clients to the investment community, and analyzing the impact of merger and acquisitions, and dividend changes on shareholder valuation. Dr. Nurse worked both at Thomson Reuters and Georgeson Shareholders, where he worked with various group of companies, including United Technologies, Inc., Maytag Corporation, General Dynamics, and ITT Industries.
Marlon Nurse has a Doctor of Management (D.M.) in Organizational Leadership and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Management/Finance from Manhattanville College.
Vice President - Investor Relations
Matthew brings to Porter, LeVay & Rose over nine years of experience in the investor relations field, working with more than 60 listed and private companies across many industries in developing and executing their investor relations programs. Prior to Porter, LeVay & Rose, Matthew was a Senior Account Executive at The Piacente Group, where he specialized in U.S. listed companies based in Asia, traveling extensively in the region, as well as an Investor Relations Advisor at Capital Link, an investor relations agency that focused on the global transportation industry, as well as Greece-based listed companies, master limited partnerships, closed-end funds and ETFs. Matthew began his career as an intern and was promoted to Account Associate at Porter, LeVay & Rose in 2006. Matthew holds a master's degree in investor relations from Fordham University, along with a bachelor's degree in finance & investments from the City University of New York - Baruch College.
Jeff is a writer and editor with 30 years’ experience in finance, economics and politics. His past employers include Moody’s Investors Service, Lloyd’s of London Press, BNP Paribas, and the foreign currency trading firm of Beaumont-Tocqueville. He has also worked in media relations with former U.S. Attorney General Herbert Brownell and with California Governor Jerry Brown. Jeff is the founding editor of the Kensington Review, past editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies, and author of several books on international relations, politics and economics. He contributes to The Blot.com, is the energy blogger for the Foreign Policy Association, and contributes to New York Theatre Guide and FringeReview.us. A member of the World Policy Institute, Jeff holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Colorado.
Gloria has been with Porter, LeVay & Rose since 1980, during which time she has been an integral component of the organization. She is a major point of contact between clients and the investment community. Her responsibilities include ensuring that the logistics for all client marketing meetings are completed, and that client marketing kits adhere to industry standards and investor expectations. She also researches developments in both the securities industry and industry segments that affect our clients. Gloria received her Masters in Education and Counseling from Columbia University. She received her BA from Fordham University with a major in history and minor in economics. Gloria has also taken courses in investor relations, public relations, communications and related courses.
